Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

It’s “everyone is improving” during the break and “weakest Prem ever” when we get started. I think I’ve seen weak Prem shouts every year for a while now. Odd when everyone is improving during the summer.

All the selling clubs will likely get worse. That’s what happens 99% of the time selling clubs have to sell.

Than a bunch of the buying clubs won’t get better. Man U have spent 1 billion since 2021. 1 billion in five years and finished two places below us last season.

We are getting more players. But not everyone is improving. It’s never been the case in prior years and won’t be the case this year. 1 billion in five years is why Moyes dithers. They can afford to waste money like that; we cannot.
Ok everyone was the wrong word but teams do improve and evolve not everyone but if you stand still you go backwards and we need to add more. One starter we have added in reality and we are about to start the season is not good enough for me ultimately I care what Everton are doing to improve not other teams. Don't listen to me the manager wanted 9 or 10, we have five and no right winger who plays there naturally its not good enough.

If we can keep our defensive solidity and add a little bit more in attack we'll be extremely dangerous. I think DH's ability to turn and pick a pass or run in midfield will open up all sorts of opportunities for NDiaye and Beto that just wouldn't have happened last season where literally nothing came through the middle. Dibling in too and a few squad players and I think we'll have a really good season.
That's why I'm fairly optimistic as we're defensively solid and I think we'll have a better attack than last season by the end of the window. My only worry is how we'll play at our new stadium as new stadiums can inspire the visiting team whilst the home team try and get used to the new surroundings

KDH is a positive because he can retain the ball and play a striker in. A little bit though? Again who is on the bench who makes a difference. Five subs you can make now? Granted we get Dibling and Grealish and a right back cool, but I still don't think its enough it would certainly an improvement on what we have now. Which is very thin on the wings

Will take us time to get acclimatised to the new ground and yes some teams will enjoy the bigger surrounds and that its essentially an away game for both teams for the first few months.

I think it's unrealistic to think all of our problems can be solved in one window and to be honest I would sooner get the right players for every position rather than stop gaps who clog the team up for years. Trying to integrate 8/9 new players could actually completely destabilise us. A mid-table finish this year is fine.

Spot on Billy. I can see a slow start (Moyes teams usually start slowly) but hopefully there's no panic as I think after the first 10 games or so we'll start to gel

I don't though , I fully get it will take time and windows to rebuild. But I do think a right winger should have been secured its not a massive ask, is it? Seems to be with Everton who was the last natural right winger we had? Townsend? Harrison and Lindstrom were not natural there. I get the financial issues but this is chronic failure, arguably we need two wingers but like right back its just let's make do, I get you have a budget I also get some have turned us down, but the right winger was number one priority?! And we sit one week from a season without a natural one. We could have got a squad one then persued main target we have known we have needed one for years at this stage. Its perfectly fair to call that out. I am also not convinced you can rely on a 19 year old all season there we need two! Without one we are "making do" again, and unbalancing the team.

We're actively trying to bring in Dibling for the right wing so the club are trying. Plus we've enquired about other players like Kubo. You can't just identify a player and buy them like that when you're a club not in Europe and with a poor recent record in the league
