The Wesley deal took a took a fair while tbf. That wasn't a quick deal. There will be others that were not quick either in that league. Perception vs reality or they are just very good at keeping the initial approach under wraps until it is a concrete interest and then the relatively short theatre period begins when almost agreed.

We bid for Wesley in January, bought him in July and loaned him to Roma the same month. I agree, that’s not quick

What I am trying to say is Madueke (initial fee £48.5m rising to £52.5m) is a proven PL player and a full international while this kid is a prospect.

They can’t be worth similar amount of fee hence we should not be held to ransom.

Madueke went to Arsenal.
Fofana is waiting for a top 4 side.
Etc etc

Were on Dibling, he wants to come.

We either pay the money or go down the list to another club who now know were willing to spend £40mil+
