Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

We all do, but it’s clear, very clear that any move for Luiz won’t happen until after the season starts if at all for varying factors and we simply do not have the time to wait for a decision when our options if IGG went down injured are Iroebugnam, Armstrong and Garner
Obviously Gana and Garner will start. Just hope we can get quality over the line and bench Garner.

you’re spouting utter breast milk

dunno about downhill but the ones there
aren’t creative ( hence luiz )

so we have to get one in maybe two

Gana is 36 and is simply not going to be able to start every game. If we don’t bring in 3 central midfielders this window then we are in trouble, we actually have the worst midfield options in the whole league which is no way an exaggeration.
Get Ndidi for £9m. And Luiz.

American/Canadian teams aren’t exactly sensible when it comes to wages, same as Saudi
Irrelevant. He’s not coming here for squad player money or to sit on the bench. Alternatively, playing him regularly would see him relegate himself to the bench.

Look, I’d love to have 1/10th of his ability on the pitch, he’s a much better footballer than any of us and deserves whatever his last big contract will be. But he takes us back not forward.

Im afraid I strongly disagree, every squad needs that type of player.
Every squad needs that type of player? He is a championship/premiership relegation fodder player. Nobody apart from maybe out of the teams that just come up will be interested in him, so pretty sure every squad doesn't need that type of player....

He is a Dyche type signing and funny enough he signed him for Burnley in the first place.

Paying £100k for a 30 years old for his last pay check sounds too familiar. And we downgrade it from Delph to a Championship player.

You know what. We deserve to fight relegation. What big teams? Even Sunderland bought better midfielder in Diarra than Everton. Ppl like you are actually think a 30 years old Brownhill is a good player that will take this club forward I mean lol.
I actually like your point but I would like to offer a counter point:
Ppl like you who actually think that Everton are so good and so respecte that we can actually scoff at other players and deem them as being not good enough for us.
What on earth have you seen in recent times to show that to be true? We are a bad team with a bad squad and an awful recent history. Will this get better if we can sign better players? Maybe. Has that happened. No! Therefore here we are in August talking about the likes of Brownhill and others as being potential squad fillers. We are fighting among ourselves over stupid crap when in all seriousness any anger should be directed at the anonymous owners for not providing the aforemenioned better players or at the very least we should stop making comments ( myself included) until September first and then maybe we can start playing catch up as a team
Which is much more of Everton's history these day than the glory years.

Now im going to follow the lead of our owners and recruitment team and not say or do $h$t until Sep 1st. :)

Not a valid point. We can sign Ndidi for a small sum. And Sunderland signed Diarra.
