Some reports/suggestions that Sociedad were holding out for closer to his release clause of €60m, which probably put him just out of our price range..

There's just no incentive for Sociedad to sell, he has a long contract, they'd lose a commercial cash cow, and they only get to keep half the money. Unless he kicks up merry hell they will stonewall everything unless the release clause is paid, and we aren't paying 50m plus in one fell swoop.

We need multiple players is the problem. At least 5 more in my opinion. We need to basically see 1 every week at the very least until September

Moyes wants 10 players so it needs to be 6 this month. I’d say that’s more than reasonable with all our loan spots still available. We’ll more than likely be working up to the deadline but I still reckon we get another 5 at the very least.

I went to watch Fiorentina against Preston and Bolton last year. He was switching between LB, RB but playing quite high. The Bolton RW gave him a bit of a problem in terms of pure pace when he got caught a few times. Kayode and Dodo looked their best players. Seen him A few times since. Looked decent each time.
