Fofanas tier of player has been attempted and clearly they aren't too keen on joining our project, Dibling is the next tier below, which is unrealised potential and more of a gamble than the upper tier.

Would you rather we go another week or so trying to get the Fofana level players or try and get some fairly good prospects in now for the start of the season?

To be fair you could say either would equally be a gamble but calculated ones due to obvious talent. Big difference playing in France to playing here and there’s no guarantee that Fofana would be the better investment.

Except its about half (and then some) of what Southampton are asking for him.

We have absolutely no idea of the truth in that. The Portuguese press seemed to think it was around what Porto would've needed to pay

How? We bid (mull) over two CL level RW's for 2 plus weeks then suddenly chuck a random half arsed bid on a left winger despite moyes saying no one wants to come here- if we always wanted Dibling why not bid weeks ago and save moyes melt down?

There is literally no cohesion in what we are doing,

Very obvious no strategy or plan here.

Maybe Kubo was quoted as 45. And Mcatee similar. He might have been 3rd choice or not even on the list, now they've gone onto Dibling if they can seal it for 33, and save 12 Mill in the process.

That strategy isn't a bad one.

I think he's best as a number 10 but he's also fine roaming from the right cutting in on his left foot. If we can get an overlapping right back I think it would be a good balance for the right side which we've been crying out for in ages

So some people now thinking Tyler Dibling is worth a punt at maybe £35 million or more, but baulk at the thought of £42.5 million or so for McAtee? Personally I would have McAtee over Dibling every time, but I think they are both way over priced.

Soton want nearly double what we offered

It's at this point they need to put up or shut up. I don't for a minute think he's worth it and he's very much an unknown quantity. But if he's next on the list and you want him just grow a pair and offer much much closer to what they want.

It has been common knowledge they valued around 50mil ++ - we offer 27 mil, again, by definition, it is half arsed - that ignoring the fact we have somehow gone from 2 LW targets to an RW target

You can try all you like, it is clear to all that it is sketchy at best.
