Jep, they are not easy to negotiate with. However, release clauses are always mandatory in any case. Asking price is around 30-35m. I know from local sources here in Basque that there are talks between Everton and Sociedad, but also other clubs being interested in Kubo, but I can't tell how far the process is.

It's obligatory to set release clause for a player (often much higher than an actual transfer value) in La Liga mainly due to the Spanish law as footballers are by law the same as workers with a contract that can buy themselves out of a contract.

Eriksen is a far better player than most of the punts we've been linked with - and given our threadbare squad seems a no brainer for me - as a free transfer.
