Please explain in further detail which "usual pattern" would see us dropping interest or losing out on 2 midfielders and signing a RB and a CM on a free, instead?

There’s a player who’s scored 5x the amount of PL goals as Evan Ferguson, is in his twenties and available on a free.

Much more likely than McAtee, Luiz, Kubo etc - not one credible link, just clickbait speculation.

I wish we were going to sign a few decent players but sadly we are not attractive proposition at the moment.
