Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

The point isn’t ’let’s do what we did in 04’. The point is that often you don’t know how effective a window is or isn’t until you see the results of the season that follows.

If we got a couple more in, kept all our players fit and had an absolute baller season then no one would care that we didn’t buy a backup left back.

Equally if Mykolenko goes down first game and we get pillaged all season down that flank then it suddenly looks like the worst window ever regardless of who else we bought.

I’m sure Everton will buy more players before the window closes and I’m hopeful that this will be a better season than previous ones. Not sure what else there is to say really, just keep hyperventilating online until Everton buy more players?

i guess my point is that constantly on here you get posters making references to the 80s and 00s under Moyes as 'here's what we did then, would work now' without understanding that what worked then likely wont in the modern game

Yet he’s almost an anti-Davek. He clearly loves the club and he’s just prone to outbursts of panic.
Listen I can genuinely see both side of the fence on this one.

Whilst am willing to wait and be patient the thought of going into August and September with a squad undercooked and pieced together late on doesn't fill me with joy.

I mentioned it earlier today that am absolutely sick of surrendering points early on in the season which for me ultimately sets the tone going forward.

The thing I'll take solace from is Moyes will still expect results regardless of the first 11 put come Leeds, where's Dyche will have fuffed and puffed about it and moan about the hand dealt.

Moyes is not miracle worker...he will moan too that's for sure. Barely an interview since pre season starts is very telling for me.

He will never truly be Gnonto until we chase him for multiple windows despite offering an inflated price for his services then ending up with his back up on loan.
I'm intrigued - who is McAtee's back up and how much will it cost to get them on loan?

Blind predictions for fun, based on nothing:

Igamane links are real and he will sign.
Chermiti will be loaned out.
Kubo will sign.
McAtee will sign.
Luis will be loaned with option.
Lino will sign.
Anzou will be loaned with option.
We will not get a new starting RB, because Ebepton…
We will sign a CB and OBrien will stay primarily RB.

That doesn't happen at Everton...same old...we will end up with players nobody wants, and late in the window
