Why would Brighton want Delap when they already have Ferguson?

I think because Ferguson's form has fell off a cliff and cannot get close to starting for Spam at the moment

We had people on this forum wanting us to get him in for 70/80 million and he has shown to be just overrated

But someone will come in the summer for Ferguson and get him for the same money as Delap I believe, so yes, I can see why Brighton would want Delap

The absolute mess of signings he made since leaving.
Daft comment this, given his signings he has done something that we haven't been near to doing since 1995, that's win a trophy

The owners will have influence on what the purchasing model is, the same as they have done for Roma for example

We will sign 10 players approximately in the summer - 4 I am sure you will like; 4 you won't and 2 will be totally left field - it's all about having the correct mix in the squad

Have a bit of faith and get behind the manager!

Since we were linked 18 months ago and he broke into the West Brom team, I've kept an eye on this lad

I dont see another player in the Championship that would suit Moyes/us much more

Similar running style & frame to Anthony Gordon, but playing on the right, he's not going to cut in and bag a goal, but his assists and creation stats are really good.

Ferguson could drop like a stone with this West Ham loan spell.

A career defining season at someone in the Championship next year could help him.

Lets not forget Liam Delap 18 months ago couldn't get in the Preston team as Tom Cannon was keeping him on the bench. He was also absolutely backpocketed by Tarkowski at Portman Road this season (cue a hattrick at Goodison now)

People are far to quick to jump on these young UK lads (especially forwards) who go through a bit of a purple patch

Calvert Lewin had a similar 'Delap streak' lets not forget

Delap's a really good player. Not just solid goals return but he can carry the ball effectively from halfway line. Watched the second half yesterday of their game and he won three corners from picking it up on halfway line and dribbling down the left. Hold up play decent. Main problem is his fitness as he struggles to complete many 90 minute games.

His next move will be interesting, can't be going somewhere just to bench warm for six months of the season as he then loses momentum in his career.
