I mean we know why: so the bigger teams could rotate more to spread themselves out for more competitions.

This went to a premier league vote and most were in favour. Basically won Liverpool a league, allowed them to press for 60 mins. Then bring 4 other lads on to Rotate.

Remember beating Bournemouth at home, but had no bench? They made four changes and we got bent over.

We just all do what the big boys say don’t we. Like when we all voted to keep PSR another year.

Whoever was running the show the last few seasons definitely forfeited the first few games until the window shut. They put valuable points in the bin over a few quid.

My point is, with psr picture looking healthier, we shouldn't be risking losing games early on just to save a few million by waiting for deadline day deals.

I just think, regardless of what happens, a starting XI of the below should be beating Leeds United regardless of new transfers. No excuses this season to not be strong.

I think a lot of us are starting to get a bit twitchy here. I know a few have commented the last day or two telling everyone to stop “wetting the bed”
And that there’s still a month to go, but the reality is the squad is currently threadbare. Goat put up a first 11 and he’s correct in saying it’s a pretty good one, but underneath that there’s nothing there. An injury or two and we’re snookered.

Yes of course there’s still time, but the point people are making about getting them in in time to integrate them and give them a preseason here is a valid one. You just know we’ll get the tired old excuse come late August when new signings are not involved, that they’re “not ready”.

We need a strong link from reliable sources this coming week to calm a few me included. It’s time to start delivering.

Thelwell did ok with no legroom last season, and it was on Dyche that we had his traditional sluggish start. We had N'Diaye and O'Brien signed at the end of July and Onana sold, and then did loans.

You are right in your point about this season though. You can still get value but we cannot be and should not need to be, as passive as has been dictated in recent years.

Outside of loans and frees, it may actually cost more to get players in as the weeks tick down than doing so before kickoff.

We really need to have at least three more new signings in by the end of July, with the expectation that one of those is a backup GK.

I do think we should have got at least another player in by now. Several teams who had no chance of buying until selling have done that now. West ham, forest, etc. Now have entered into the same market as we are in.

I understand … but men “ things” have been around for hundreds of years . We enjoy it … it’s awesome … and I’m all for inclusion … but … if someone wants to be a part of it that’s fine … but changing what it is so they can “feel” comfortable is stipid .

Obviously there are things in life that are never acceptable to be said and most of us know where the line is.

It’s like going to a comedy show and telling the comedian to change his act because some jokes were offensive … if you try to be included in something and don’t like it … then don’t go … don’t expect everyone else to change just because you don’t like it

Some people don't get it mate. I went to a local game recently with a few lads and one of them spent the entire game shouting at the opposition goalie. Nothing funny or witty, just abused. No idea why some people think that's acceptable. I won't hang out with him again.

I understand we need to fill the squad out but if you look at this list, hardly anything has happened with most PL clubs this Summer. Only a few teams (Brighton, Burnley, Chelsea, Sunderland) have brought in a raft so far.
