These tests they’re coming in for next week won’t take long, how many are going to turn up 10 at the most? Sign some players Moyesey ffs

Manchester City will sign 15-year-old Caelan-Kole Cadamarteri from Sheffield Wednesday in a £1.5m deal.
The forward is the son of former Everton striker Danny.

Another one slips by.

He was at Everton when he was younger and released, I think when he was 9 or less.

One of those, I didnt expect him to come back, sometimes those releases leave a mark more then people think

It is being reported that Thierno Barry, is very close to signing, 32 million euros and 6 million euros in add ons. just need to sort out the work permit.... those words give me a sinking feeling. It would be just like us not to be able to get a work permit for Barry. Damn Brexit! :D

The fee would make a work permit a formality

Exactly, it should not be an issue, but why do we always have work permit issues then and other teams dont?

we tried to sign Argentine midfielder back in 2019, by the FA's own work permit scheme he seemed to have enough points, but we still got tunred down

I think everyone remembers Henry Onyekuru, we signed him without a work permit becasue it should have been straight forward, but he never had one granted in the UK, so we sent him on loan to Belgium and Turkey and eventually sold him to Monaco. He has never had a problem getting a work permit for any of those countries. But for some reason we couldn't get him a UK one.

Other clubs in the premier league can sign old foreign players who have never played for their country without "work permit" even being mentioned

All true, but the post-Brexit work permit scheme actually simplifies it a bit - used to be that you needed international caps etc. Now, if the transfer fee being paid is large enough, there's no issue re work permits
