Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

Won't be the first time that's happened especially with Chelsea will it, I'm talking 9 year contracts, which are suddenly outlawed and maybe a few Hotels.
but arent they still doing like 8 year contracts or something? I could be wrong on that one. They dont seem to care and no one seems to be stopping them... i thought it was 5 years max or was the 5 years only for the transfer fee? if so longer contracts dont make sense..

Also.. does £65million seem a bit cheap given Chelsea sold their women’s team for £200m? … surely the Everton ladies also have Goodison park to include?
Honestly, I think £65 million would be a fair valuation. Our success does not stack up to that which Chelsea have achieved recently, plus our only women's team asset which stands up to Chelsea's assets is Goodison Park.

Chelsea Women have produced or nurtured many England internationals, whereas we have not currently got a player in the England squad.

I know City done a long one, 6 years ? For Halland don't think Chelsea would dare, mind you I wouldn't put it past them mate.

but wasnt Goodison valied at like £50m in the plans for regen or something? I seem to remember it was around that they would sell the land etc for. If thats correct, it values the womens team at £15m, which imo is too low...

I will put my hands up and say that I did not realise that Goodison had such a high valuation when included in the valuation of the women's team. Still, I don't think our valuation would be anywhere near that of Chelsea Women.

Only amortised over max 5 years for PSR, so if they still doing 8 year deals there must be another reason (?)

I could be wrong tbh, i am going on memory and would need to do some digging. I do agree £200m is to much for Everton for the points you said, closer to £100m seems more reasonoable considering Goodison is included

Our success doesn't match up to theirs, then their facilities don't match up to ours.
Fair, yes another 8 point deduction for Everton and 4 more for the Ladies..
