Summer transfer window 2023

JWP is crap pass it on.

Good at free kicks and in general set pieces, but his all around play is bang average.

Wouldn't be spending any sort of decent money on him.

He literally tore us apart at home mate, in general play, he improves us

Half fit he improves us.

9 goals and 4 assists - we scored 34 all season and five of those were against Brighton.

You pay for goals and goal involvement - if you are getting that as a deep central midfield play maker you are doing well.

Honestly dont think hed come here, will be next on the list of who ever doesnt get Maddison.

He’s also nearly 29 years of age. That would be a very Steve Walsh 2017 signing. Exactly the type we need to start avoiding, I’m sure we could get some kid from Europe for about £5m who can put a set piece into an area.

I'll be surprised if they get their 40m. It seems to be expected top half clubs will fall over each other for him but he's not really the profile of player most of them look for these days. There's also a ton of other midfield talent on the market for them to fight over.

We will sign mostly/only aging players this window. If we, by some chance, sign any younger players - they won't see much of the daylight for the season, unless apocalyptic injuries happen.

Vault me.

A grim prospect.
For you or me, yes.

I don't think we will tbh, we simply can't afford to go for 'final payday' types anymore. I know that's what Dyche seems to prefer but it's not going to be his ultimate decision and the wider long term future of the squad is kinda more important than what Dyche might want so a compromise will be found imo.

How many of those 9 goals were free kicks/pens? Well over half surely? As I said he's a specialist on dead balls but overall yes bog standard.

Wouldn't say he tore us apart like? He just happened to score two against against a dreadful team.

I'd he furious if we spent money on him.

What makes you think that?
Sean Dyche and being skint.

Nah not final payday - very mediocre aging/old players.
