GK: Pickford/Tyrer

LB: NEW/Myko
CB: Branthwaite/Coady
CB: Tarkowski/Godfrey
RB: Patterson/NEW

CDM: Onana/Gana
CM: Garner/Warrington
CM: NEW/Doucs?

LW: McNeil/Gray/Nkounkou(if he hasn't got a clause)
ST: NEW/Dom/Cannon
RW: Iwobi/Mills

Granted we stay in the PL I would go for this personally. I would activate Coady's £4m release clause.

Sadly we just don't have the money for 4-5 new solid players unless we take risks from abroad.
Still think we'd need a new first choice centre back alongside Tarkowski , bed Branthwaite in gradually.

gomes is a tricky one

he has another year left on his contract which means someone has to pay actual money to sign him

he's have a great season on loan to a french club but i very much doubt that the french club are paying his full wages

if gomes is to join them he'd have to take a significant wage cut

would he do that?

File him under Schneiderlin for me, he’ll go for a nominal fee or a completely free.

Lille loved him, and I reckon he’d sign permanently, I guess the question is, is money the priority, or playing and enjoying yourself?

In terms of starters I think a CB and LB are a priority but due to DCL fitness ST and LB are the priorities. CB and RW next and then a CM for me.

Johnson + Danilo + Gibbs-White would be interesting.

Lodi on loan from Atletico as well.

Southamton, Lavia.
I think Johnson will go higher but if Forest go I could see us returning for MGW having been close last summer. Fits the sort of versatile creative player we’re still lacking. Wouldn’t be cheap but I wonder if money comes in for Onana whether the more advanced / creative player is more what we need rather than a more defensive direct replacement.

Creativity and scoring threat a must, however that looks, two full backs, wide forwards, a central playmaker and a forward. Obviously we wont be signing 6 players at the required level of quality needed. So a plan is required - bit of a strange concept for us but you never know. We need to balance the squad also, we are heavy in some areas and light in others. Contract decisions need to be made, Gray, Iwobi, Seamus, The Duke. The inevitable eternal trying to shift Gomes, Gbamin and Dele.

A job of work still needs to be done to stay in this league first though.

This, far too often this season we haven't be able to create enough, full backs haven't got enough assists, no one can take a free kick either.

The Moise Kean funds arrive at the end of June, Romano confirmed. So, assuming we stay up- hopefully we can use some of that

Would like us to look around south america/rest of europe for better value, Brighton constantly go and find gems, low risk, low fees. Can we try that for a change?!

I have a bad feeling goalkeeper will be a priority this summer
If we stay up and he goes it’ll be for serious money. I can live with that.

Using the money wisely and getting the right replacement (6ft 5 with mr tickle arms and the agility of a cat that can hit the opposition crossbar from the edge of his own box) in plus one of a lb/cm/am/rw is the bit that concerns me.

Good post mate, not going down the 12th of July or Easter 16 rabbit hole here, but being creative - you could sign someone like Kyogo, who forgives a lot of sins across the front three positions for around or south of 15 mill. I like the look of Summerville at Leeds too, has potential that lid.

If we stay up of course.

Yeah, I just look at the likes of that Mitoma and Caicedo, plucked from nowhere, both will likely leave for huge sums. Start being that club who finds these types.

Moyes was good at spotting talent in the football league and europe for low fees, we need to go back to that
