Thing is, Iheanacho is okay (and infinitely better than Che Adams et. al) but he is a different style of striker to Dom. The point of Toure was meant to be that he matched DCL's skillsets. We shouldn't just pivot to a different style of striker, and if we do, it should be Orban.

If we want a big, fast striker, it should be Boulaye Dia.
This is the main issue. There will be plenty of strikers out there that suits the way we play with dom. The only difference will be the level of quality.

Think iheanacho is a good player and his hold up and bringing others into play is decent. Just hasn’t got that explosive pace.

Yes agree, Dia of the names mentioned looks a good bet. Although in reality it we can punt Maupay/Gray two forwards would be preferable.
 


Seem to recall that we only signed Maupay only after losing out on other targets. Let’s hope they’ve actually got a decent backup plan this time.
