A winger would be nice but not essential, I'd put our kitty into securing Zouma. Chelsea won't say no to €50m you'd imagine.

Unless we've scouted a similarly pacey, strong centre back and its on the works.

To be fair if we end up without an improvement on RW and going with only 2 proper centrebacks. THen it has been a poor window. We are currently weaker going into the season than we were when we finished in May.

Is Kean not an improvement on Walcott?
CB will be addressed before the end of the window.

We've cleared house and cut over half of our deadwood from a ridiculously bloated squad; reducing the wage bill and allowing us to bring in Kean, Delph, Gomes, Gbamin at a net profit.

There's no other way of addressing it; it's been outstanding work from Brands.

So far everything silva has said he wants, we have got.

If Sidibe is done, that leaves a winger a cb and possibly a midfielder and then we are set.

I have no doubts we will get what we need.

No European club will fork out anything even remotely of that magnitude for him.

He will be in limbo for 12 months and then be sold for £60m next summer, and they'll be glad to take it then.

But the £20m they'll have lost in that time would have been compensated more than enough by staying in the prem another year and all its financial benefits

Problem being, what good is 50m to Chelsea at this moment?

If we do sign Zaha, it will happen in the last couple of hours of the window, will go all the way to the wire, not because we kept it late, on the contrary, the deal was done 2 weeks ago but Palace's owner asked to keep it that way so the fans won't demand he goes and spends all the money on replacement, he will come out and say "Zaha wanted out the last day of the window and we cant keep an unhappy player, we had to sell him and Everton made an acceptable offer and we had no time to buy replacements."

They priced him at €40m before Lampard arrived, allegedly. FFP is a three year thing so it'd be good to get what the they'd see as over his market value for him and have freedom to splurge when they're allowed.
