Thiago Maia is a player Ive always wanted tyo see us linked with, so under-rated. One that could go under the radar, but he is a en excellent player.

Yeh he’s a good player, not a bad price actually, an all action centre mid if not a little short for my liking. He’ll 100% be sold in the Summer though along with about 3 more for FFP.

I lost many hours of my life to that game, beating up hookers to get my money back after being noshed off was a particular low/high point.

I would have thought that his ability to bomb forward was one of his biggest assets.

I don't think there's any doubt that his final delivery invariably let's him down, but there isn't a full back in the league that has the desire to get forward as he does. Saturday's game was a perfect example, where we saw both the best and worst of Seamus as an attacking full back.

A few months ago, I was all for replacing him as I didn't think I'd see that desire and pace/ability of old. But I'm happy to say I've changed my mind. He'll do for me for at least another season, enabling us to concentrate on other area's such as a goal scoring striker and dynamic midfielder.

Mendes being 27 means he doesn't exactly fit the profile that we're all expecting to be after this summer.
