They need an option with genuine pace for when mane is missing games otherwise they look very one paced.
Yeah take Mane out of their team and they do lack genuine pace, but if he stays fit i dont see where Gray would fit into Liverpools side.

Basically they are buying for depth and options mate, and lets face it - who in a Klopp system stays fit an entire season?

Looks like Lucas Perez is on his way out from Arsenal in the summer, Arsenal fans seem to rate him but Wenger doesn't which doesn't mean much these days. Would be cheaper than what we was gonna pay last summer too.

I wonder if Walsh will push for him again
I hope so, Perez came out around January time I think and said he made a mistake joining them and that he would be looking to leave in the summer. I think he is a good player and would be a good buy.

...interesting comments from RK in the last few days, the club are investing in the future but managers don't stay around for long these days so he's also concentrating on the shorter term. I can understand that.

Client of mine is a Sunderland season ticket holder (poor sod!!). Reckons Pickford is the real deal though. Match going fans are gutted about him and Defoe leaving. All the others they are NEA about.

Anything under 20 million in today's market for a keeper we could have for 10-15 years is good business in my eyes.

£20 million would make him the second most expensive goalkeeper of all time. Let that sink in for a second or two.
Pickford has played the vast majority of his games on loan away from Sunderland indeed at Sunderland in total he's made about 30 appearances for me that is way too much for a keeper of that age and far too much for a far from proven one at that.

It's what i said the other day i think mate, him and Walsh will be making agreements with each other, off two separate lists, one for the now and one for the future, a bit of give and take from both is the way to go.

It 'could' mean that we do end up with some agreements to go for those players with a foot in both camp, young players but who are ready to contribute now (Pickford being a classic example, maybe Dolberg would be in that category as well)

Pure gueswork but i think Koeman can be pragmatic when needed, but will drive a hard bargain - and may set up certain 'must get' targets and if that happens he will concede ground and let younger players be brought in - still have a gut feeling we will go balls out for VVD myself

Especially if Barcelona are after them...as he seems to think they are for him.

Lol.

I wouldn't take too seriously what any manager says, tbh. Never mind one who told his last club he'd see out his last contract.
