We are now favourites to sign Butland from Stoke C.
If we go for a keeper this summer it would have to be either him or Leno for me. even that's a bot of a gamble as both have had seasons to forget albeit for different reasons. But both, prior to the last 12 months, have shown themselves to be top quality.

Butland has been out with ankle break ( I think ) but a top GK.

As i said mate, i think we are interested in him and VVD for the one position, both got great pace, both very good in the air, and both can carry the ball forward and pass well, sems we are after that 'type' of centre back and we have another shopping list for the second centre back who is more of an old school type cb (Gibson, Keane etc)

Makes sense really thinking about it, and some of our best centre back partnerships over the years have followed that type of blend between the two
Agree mate. Think we'll go for one in the £40/55m bracket from abroad, (VVD, Manolas, Koulibaly etc) and a youngish English lad in the £25/30m bracket (Keane, Gibson etc). I'd be more than happy if we could manage that.;)

Very solid defensively though Zat and can play LCB at a push too. And would be free. I'd be all over him personally and would get Mo on the blower to him.

I know who he is, just thought we were talking about young lads as I was replying about cucurella.

He's a top player....could see him as an ideal left back with pace and power...

We certainly have a punchers chance of VVD and/or Koulibaly. Either would make a big difference to the team on the field and would certainly help convince other targets that we are going places.

Tielemans would again be a FIFA esque dream signing for us but I suspect that would indicate that Ross is seeking pastures new.
Tielemans is pretty much a Monaco player though, they have an agreement with Anderlecht and Tielemans

Tele mans going to city.
So the papers are saying today. I'm not sure he will though. The lad has a good head in his shoulders and wants to play regularly, especially in world cup year. He'll know he's up against it in that City midfield. He'll look at our reputation for playing young players and he's mates with Rom who I'm sure would give us the thumbs up, despite his own situation. I can see us landing him and view Monaco as probably our biggest obstacle. He'd be trading playing CL for playing in a much better standard week in week out, plus the International exposure that comes with playing in the Premier.

Antonio wanting out at West Ham apparently.

If he can prove his fitness, reckon he'd be a fantastic signing.
Has anybody scored more headed goals than him this season?. where would you play him mate?. he's played practically everywhere for West ham this season.

Theyre different types of player

Ross is an attacking midfielder who likes to create chances and score goals.

Tielemans is a box to box attacking midfielder who has the second highest total of assists and goals after Alli this season.

They both play as attacking midfielders, just Tielemans can defend better than Ross.

If we were to get him he could easily be a replacement for Ross.
