...he had a troubled time defensively for a period last season and actually lost his place at Hull. If I remember rightly, he conceded penalties in 2 or 3 games on the bounce. Might just be a bit of vulnerability there but he is a good footballer.

I realise this might not be popular, but right now I think we should be all over Chris Wood for the £15m Burnley look likely to sign him for.
Exactly the type of player Koeman wants, affordable (heck he's only going to cost half a Johnny Evans in this loopy transfer market!), he's about the right age, realistic (some of the shouts on here are crazy with players people think we should be signing) & would surely jump at the chance of a move here. Plus, getting a target man in at a reasonable cost allows us to look at having funds for left back cover & a much needed left sided centre half.
