He may have had a decent half season last year but there must be serious question marks over his temperament and fitness. Particularly for the money being mentioned.

Big test for the new management team. They've had a year to sort themselves out, and they started the transfer period exceptionally well. However, everything appears to have stalled and it does increasingly look like 'old' Everton behaviour. This is a problem as it suggests that the mindset has not changed enough. Sigurdsson et al should have been done, and the players incorporated into training already for what is a really tough start. Big mentality clubs just get the deals done and don't baulk at paying the required rate for top-class players.
