West Ham in for Giroud. I know he is 31 but I was hoping we would be taking a good look at him. He is a known quantity and has a great first touch, link up play and work rate. I think you would get 3 great seasons out of him

Not transfer related I know and I apologise not savvy with the forum rules. However.
Should we be signing/recruiting younger
/inexperienced players, will the supporter base be supportive of a potential low ranking in the chance they come good?
I hope my question makes sense, I've had a couple but I'd support a good foundation that falls short a while but then comes strong. (No titles guaranteed)

I think we need three more straight into the first team signings regardless of age. In fact, centre forward and centre back, I'd be happier if they were late 20s or early 30s with a decade long track record of excellence

Well we know RK loves a target man in his preferred system. The thing that worries me with this potential signing is we are replacing a proven Premiership goal scorer with a totally untried replacement, however talented for me. For that reason alone I'd go with giroud who'd give us experience in the final third.

Never seen him play of course, but from reading about him could be a bit like Pelle style lump of a forward.

We need to diversify though with someone who can play on the shoulder and Itchy Ken would be my choice.

That said id be hell bent on keeping Lukaku, i hate this mentally that he is definitely off, its weak if you accept your going to be the victim you always will be.

Jørgensen isn't a targetman like Pelle was when RK was manager of Southampton. He is 190 cm high but not that strong. I think he will struggle in the PL in that role. He has also played as a left wing or as a second striker

Offered him 140k (biggest contract in our history) and all he does on international duty is disrespect the club with his comments. No one wants Rom to stay more than me and I'd be made up if he signed a new contract. but what I want is players who are hungry to play for the club and the shirt. Sadly Rom doesn't want to be part of that.

I agree mate, i would accept he will eventually leave, my point is we shouldnt passively sell him this summer, he has two years on his deal, so forcing him to stay i think is totally justified, there is no incentive for him to be gash in a world cup year. Its of no advantage to Everton to sell him, so why should we.

If we are trying to compete with the clubs ahead of us, why should we sell our best players to them when there is no advantage to us to do so.

We need to stop thinking that our best players need to leave here to fulfil ambitions and just passively accept it.

Time to rattle a few cages both Lukaku and other clubs.

I'd love to see us go all out to sign Van Dijk. That would cause some serious ripples!!!
