Summer Transfer Pot

You have to ask how we were able to afford such an increase in squad investment just before the last TV deal, it was made possible through the knowledge of the incoming deal. Borrowing and advancing cash.

The bridging loans are a concern and it's a very good way for some of our board members to make a lot of very easy cash. Who says nobody makes money from football clubs? But there will still be plenty of money left over imo, whether we choose to be ambitious with it or not is a different question.

Rumour was it was Pip Green acting as guarantor, one day I'm sure we will get the full story of the dealings at Everton.

I would love to hear from Trevor Birch and why he only lasted 6 weeks in the job of CEO.

DAMN YOU MUCHA

I think there are quite a few deluded folks who thinks we're gonna spend more than we recoup in sales this Summer due to this extra TV revenue...

I doubt they will pay any money untill next Summer myself, but if you have other info I would be pleased to read it.

Its split into different chunks as you say, but its all about how many times your on the tele and League postion, I dont see how we will see any increase untill at least next Summer.
They pay a large chunk before the start of the season, then a monthly fee, plus individual fees for each TV appearance.

Paying next summer would basically be like buying a car, not paying for a year, and expecting not to pay any interest. While it happens on occasion, it's not "standard".

Suffice to say there'll definitely be an increase this summer.

Its a paid a Year later, thats why you get a chunk at the start.

Bit difficult as loads of our deals include add ons etc... so just stating 12 mill won't mean we could sign a player for 12 mill. 12 mill may be 5 mill up front and 7 mill over a few years, whether or not a Negredo could be bought in that type of deal is another matter.

Extra 40million - annual loss of 10million = 30 million.

Our revenue has just increased by 40million per year...

...especially now that our turnover has increased by 40 million pound a year.

...it still results in Everton having 40 million pound more than in previous seasons...

...our revenue has just increased by 40 million...

I don't know why people keep trying to denounce this opportunity that is created by an 120 million pound increase in revenue over the next 3 years.

Your determination to will this extra 40m into existence is admirable.

I would read the PDf on the attached link, if you think the banks will be satisfied with our performance.

As for the extra tv money, it does not give an advantage if every other club is getting the same deal. We need to organically grow, and the link will show that we are not. The gap between us and the likes of Spurs will continue to grow wider while are amazing board carry on with there impressions of Ostrichs.

This tv deal will mean 2 things, more money getting spent on players wages and bigger bridging loans on the tv money.

The new financial rules introduced by the Premier League dictate that clubs like Everton can only increase their wage bill by £5m per annum. The new TV Deal is worth £40m per annum extra.
