They`re a band mate.

Johnny Marr was the legendary guitarist from the Smith.

He created the beautiful and distinct guitar sound that was unique to the Smiths.

The band Modest Mouse, where looking for a guitarist that could produce a similar sound to him.

In the end they gave up and actually signed up Johnny Marr himself.
