Howe actually did trash Thatcher though; all Suella has done there is metaphorically wet herself in public thinking that Sunak will be embarrassed. I am sure he will be, but its her rep that will suffer for it.

Sure he did but she has brought into question Sunaks credibility and integrity so shes done a decent job on that score, whether true or not.

The more the Tories tear into each other the more I like it!

No. She'll be back, and she'll lead the tories back into power too with her 'authentic (extra right wing) conservatism ' and she'll win by a landslide.
One of the main reasons the Labour party needs to grow up. It is in no position at all to take on the right wing tories now.

Good letter, especially at the end of her statement... Sunak is a snake. He is a boring fence-sitter. He stands for nothing. Also true for most of our MP's on the front benches and beyond... mostly all boring, non-entities who stand for nothing. Any MP who makes a stand with strong idea's is vilified... Compromise is why this country is in a downward spiral... we need convinction.

Braverman's comment "I didn't find the right words" was true. Her comments about people living in tents were outright clumsy at best...outright ignorant and offensive at worst. I'm not sure what she thought such comments would achieve?

Still, on other subjects, I think she is correct when she says she is speaking for the "quiet majority". The voting intention of the quiet majority was badly misjudged by the left at the last general election. It could happen again...
