why is it still getting interview slots? it has been sacked twice for misbehaviour. remember all that crud about accountability? another horrendous liar.

Because if they stopped interviewing politicians who are liars then they wouldn’t have politicians to interview. I have worked with politicians most of my working life and I have only ever met one who I would trust to tell the truth even if it didn’t suit his rhetoric.

The media interviews people they consider newsworthy, in the sense that they sell papers/magazines or generate clicks. Honesty often has the opposite effect.

There's an old SNL sketch that spoofs Citizen Kane. Dan Ackroyd, as the thinly-veiled William Randolph Hearst, shoots people from the window of the office with a pistol and dictates each headline about the serial killer on the loose. We somehow have come full circle back to that era of media.
