Stuttering penalty run ups

The advantage in a penalty should always be with the striker, as it is pretty well being given a goal for illegally preventing a goal, but isn't a free shot from 12 yards enough of an advantage? The stuttering run up or stop seems to confuse the striker, as he has more time to change his mind, the worst thing you can do when taking a penalty. It would be interesting if the goalies were asked if this sort of run -up should be banned, as I don't think they're that bothered.

Fair point actually. I'd be in favour of two whistles, thus bringing in @chrissyjack suggestion from the previous page. The first whistle is for the striker, followed 2 seconds later by a second whistle allowing the goalkeeper to run out and narrow the angle, or in Pogbas case, chin him.

If it was a case of he has never missed using this technique and it was all part of the route to give him his perfect penalty id be ok with that.
But he's missed a couple and my guessing is you will be able to do that run up on Fifa soon!

Didnt Aldridge used to do stuttered penaltys? Nothing like Pogba's but im sure he used to do a stop and fake! Then probably call the goalie a "NUGGET" before running off to celebrate the 5th goal in a 5-0 win

...don’t remember Aldridge celebrating when Dave Beasant saved his penalty in the FA Cup Final.

It's not the run up that causes a missed penalty, it's a poor shot that causes a missed penalty.

Obviously your run up can make you like a tit even more than normal if you miss.

never seen a run up like it, he's an absolute nob head that pogba, wants to make everything about him never about the team

everything down to his silly hair cuts & celebrations make me hate him more, can't wait until he day he goes back abroad so don't have to his face anymore

and to top it all off he's not even THAT good. wankstain
Thats the thing, he is that good. When he wants to be anyway. He has all the ability in the world and is incredibly athletic. I think his attitude is what separates him from the upper echelons. If he wasn't such a divvy he'd be right up there.

exactly, which isn't very often... when he WANTS to be he's exceptional but he's not a shadow on the likes of hazards, silvas ( not marco unfortunately ) de bruynes etc because of his consistency
