I've worked and lived with a lot of chicks in my time and had some classic comments cone out when they try and take an interest. Usually these are along the lines of who's who, what's the score (even though it says in the corner) but today at work a classic came out:

Boys talking about the world cup...

Girl pipes up: "will David Beckham playing for America in the world cup?'

So many things wrong with this question it didn't even make us laugh. More of a shocked silence ensued.

Not really a stupid quote, but there are a couple of girls on my Facebook who all of a sudden become Leeds fans whenever we win big matches such as Man United and Bristol Rovers. Obviously have no clue about football and can't name five of our players but want to come across as "one of the lads". Get a few guys like that as well. I love it when the plastics come out of the woodwork, utterly hopeless.

Although I have a mate who told me he once overheard a girl say "Jose Mourinho? Doesn't he play for Liverpool?"
