does he still have shares in 'pro-active' if he does then that is a blemish on his character.

stuart pearce sold his before being appointed city manager.

principals my dears.

Do you have yours Suits, ask him yourself all I know is that Stubbsy is one A1 bloke and if you want to stain him for something as simple as that, thats you choice but, and I don't know if he has or hasn't held those shares, but someone needs contact with Proactive as we still have a few players on their books, or should we sell them as well.

they shouldnt have signed up to stretford in the first place.

in league with the devil is in league with the devil, paint it however you like.

as for A1, im going to bite my tongue.

Who'd have thought the notion of Stubbs going into management would have caused such a heated debate!

From my point of view the situation wasnt handled well by either side. The club forgot its morales and Stubbsy shouldnt have gone running to the press so quickly either. Anyway, its gone now.

So what is the current situation then? Has Stubbs been given a more coaching role behind the scenes or was it simply a one off?

well him being involed with proactive really helped us keep hold of Rooney.

You did, you shot down my opinion on stubbs, I couldnt care less if people agree with me or not, its a forum and i can discuss things in my own view, but you stormed in arguing it just because hes an 'A1 top bloke', which correct me if im wrong i already stated that?

Yawn! (and thats my opinion of the above)

if he wants assistant manager or manager in the future, give him a youth role and build it up, its one hell of a jump without any expeirence though.

Well well well I've seen some ill considered comments on here but some of these anti Stubbs ones leave me laughing. Roy Keane, Gareth Southgate and many others go straight into first team management with their little training badges, Southgate actually didn't have one. Stubbsy is getting his along with Lee Carsley (he wants to go to a midlands club) but you two let you bias come out with statements like that, ridiculous, and thats my opinion which I'm entitled to.

Pmsl you cant make such a bold statement and then use southgate as an example.

Whats keane done in the prem? Southgate has been woeful.

You are the one suggesting he isn't qualified for our reserves when unqualified have been given clubs to run (see above) hence I pmsl, you are a bit sad really

to be honest monty i would'nt let stubbs near are first team till he had experiance an plenty of it!! neither would i let southgate an worst of all kean(his tatics are awfull 7-1) near the team. let him start of with the kids an if hes good enough let him progress. butt assistant manager? not a chance

p.s i know him pearsonaly an hes a top,top guy. dont meen he can coach thou.

FFS Sharpy lad all I have agreed with is that he could go as Moyes number two or he could take the reserves, I have at no point said he should manage the blues. I know Alan as well, great lad but everyone has to learn what got me is that someone comes on here and says hes got no class get shut which is [Poor language removed]

Strange reading the the criteria some are using to eliminate Stubbs as a candidate for assistant manager. Using the same logic, Frank Rijkaard should efinitely not have been appointed coach of the Netherlands, yet took the to semis (PK elimination) in his first major tournament in charge.

In fact, again using similar logic, Moyes was less qualified to take over as manager at Preston than Stubbs is for assistant manager with us. Me personally, I'm glad someone took a chance on Moyes.

Now that I've stuck my neck in the noose, may as jump off the stool: I'd put Gary Speed forward as a candidate.
