I'd love to see him at goodison. If people talk about manny maybe being good, this lad shows it week in week out. If it were a choice between the two........no contest.

8-10m i'd be well happy.
 

I don't see the Hunt thing, he's a dirty little [Poor language removed], the only thing i remember him doing is Petr Cech's head in. Don't like Downing either, can't go past a player but he is a good crosser, Evertonians have a great history of proper wingers untill the last few years, Limpar, Nevin, Sheedy, Kanchelskis

I'd rather have Milner personally, skillful, can beat a man, and best of all he's only 22

One worry is that he showed some loyalty to Boro last season by signing a five year contract (which is good on a personal level). That means that Boro will hold out for a big wedge of cash should he move away (which he will, I think).

I wouldn't have any problems bringing in Millner at 5M.

Hunt gets a bad rap for being dirty most people just call him that becasue he doesn't take and crap and genuflect and kiss the boots of the Gerrards and Lampards of the prem. I don't think he ever received a red card in 2 years of prem football. He knows when to keep his emotions in check. There's a reason why we are interested in him, he's a hell of a player. The Cech thing was a dirty play either. They were both going for the ball.

Still think he's too similar to Killa, excellent work rate, little skill. I'd rather buy Milner all day long but it's only my opinion and thats what footies all about

Think Peanuts is a way better player than Downing so i'd rather have the 10m for Johnson and buy Milner and still have 5m left over for a striker

Pienaar is'nt really a winger thou, even thou he playes really well their. I'd love to see him in the middle as that is were he played his best stuff for Ajax. An S.Africa apparently.

Downing is a quality left winger who will stay in the england squad(IMO) for many years to come. He would improve under moyes, an could be one hell of a player.

We lack real width in our team, have done for a while. You might not have liked Killa or Pemberton but they give us proper width. An with the yak in the middle we could do with it again.
 

If we were to take any winger from the Boro though i'd take the lad Johnson, the youth guys up there reckon he's twice the player Downing was at his age & Rangers were roumered to be interested for £3m, thats a 7m discount for a potentially better player, i don't know what it is but i've never really rated Downing
 
what about Adam Johnson?

I saw him in Portugal England U-21 and he looked good. Actually, the whole team looked good.

I dont think downing is suited to our style of play I think we can work the ball
through midfield next season with a quick passing game why hit the by line
with downing to then cross the ball when the yak is not great in the air he needs the ball at his feet we have arteta and manny who can cross a good ball we need some thing diff than downing who has not got lightening pace
lennon + bent would inject the pace we need bent will make the yak even better
