Straq's last two performances

I love his tenacity. The more I see of Denis, the more I like.

He seems to be a fierce competitor and I like guys with that kind of heart.

The whole team looks completely different to me these last few games. Seems to be not only a lot more effort, but an aggressiveness that has not been there for most of the season. If they had been playing like this all year we would be in pretty good position. Looks like a completely different team.

brilliant :)

he was awesome last night as for his "technical" ability as far as i can recall most of his passes ended upto a blue shirt.his ball holding up was excellent his deft flick ons an headers were all sound hes not to bad hes realy not!!if we ask him to keep it simple this lid will give 100% every game you can tell hes the type.ill put it this way on this season alone saha technicaly gifted lazy unitrested one goal or the straquc in no who ive chose.

He shows unbelievable commitment and passion when he's on the pitch. Gives it 120% effort always and never stops running after balls and hassling defenders.

If the deal was right, I would have him here instantly.

He controls/lays off the ball brilliantly with his chest. Anyone else notice that?

Super handy when you're getting high balls pumped up to you, m'rite?

Last player I remember being particularly good at that was none other than Big Dunc.

Straq has proved he can be useful. More useful than Saha and probably our most useful centre-forward. He is a tier and he has a lot of good qualities. Shame on those who wanted to rubbish him and rubbish the loan signing of him. He is a team player and not arrogant like Saha.

We've looked like a much better team with Straq up front instead of Saha. I don't think he's doing anything special but his work rate and hunger seems to have rubbed off on those around him who had been going through the motions a bit. Fellaini, for example, has looked a different player in the last couple of games and it looks like Donovan has got back into his groove after an uncomfortable few matches. Cahill appears to be much more enthused as well.

Good post. Straq is a team player who is FAR more intelligent than people want to give him credit for. If we had £3m I would sign him immediately. With a partner up front with him (Jelavic) he would flourish. Great post mate. With Gibson in midfield who has a bit of everything and is also a team player it really is possible to see Barkley in a 3 or even a 2 in midfield. We are going to win the FA Cup.

I swear that in 35 years of watching Everton I haven't seen a gutsy, full blooded, committed performance from a player as I witnessed from Denis last night. Of course I've seen more culture through the years, but to see an Everton player (on loan!) almost run himself to a stand still for the cause almost made me cry with joy. Sounds soppy but this fella epitomises everything DM's Everton have ever been and reminded me of Big Dunc in his pomp at times last night.

He's just beaten into submission Hangerland, Kompany and Lescott, three top quality CBs. Just imagine last night all over again, put Saha in instead of Straq and try and think what a different performance you'd have got from the front man. I believe that that lazy, borderline petulance would've gone through the team and we would've seen a different EFC.

I didn't rate him. Called him the Argie Brett Angel. I'm a pissflap. Sorry Denis, I love you.

*I heart pissflaps

I cant recall a player up top put in the shift he did last night , well played Straq , bar our 2 centre halves he was the best player on the pitch .
