Straq's last two performances

I have a feeling that we could get Straq pretty cheaply for something south of £2m. He'll try his heart out but will he score goals? At that level Moyes may well decide that we can afford to have him as a squad man and as back up for Jelavic. I can see us driving a hard bargain with Tigres and using his goal-scoring record as a reason why they should let us have him cheaply. Not being one of the big Argentinian clubs, I imagine they'll take what they can get.

Our performance last night wasn't a whole lot different from our performance against city at the Etihad earlier in the season. The BIG difference was that last night we had Big Denis wreaking havoc up front when at city we only had cahill up front. Denis made the difference last night

Weve all been lulled into watching lazy strikers.

So he worked hard. Oooooooo give him a medal for finally being able to do the job we hired him 5 months ago for.

Just cos others have been sh*te before him doesn't mean we shouldn't credit the effort he put in. Did really well and worked his bollocks off, and he should be used as an example to our other players to say that this is the effort and commitment that they should put in every time they put on the famous royal blue shirt. I hope Jelly took note.

In defence of Saha, though, to those who are rubbishing him, he is on record as saying that due to his injuries he'd had to learn to move about the pitch more economically, so to call him lazy is rather unfair. To say he'd not been playing well is rather nearer the mark.

How can anyone say Denis hasn't got good technical ability?

He reminds me of Bob Latchford the way he moves, he has the heart of Andy Gray, but I'm not sure whose skill levels he has... At the moment I don't care, through effort alone he has galvanised the crowd and his team mates.

He deserves to succeed and I genuinely hope he has the ability to do so, because if he has the required skill levels and fitness we have one hell of a player ahead of us.

All the best Straq - I hope you meet your and our expectations for the future in a blue shirt!

I LOVE STRAQ

The guy gives everything, he's showing that he's the perfect lone striker. He's great in the air, strong as an ox, never stops running, hassles defenders, and allows our copious amounts of midfielders to get up the pitch.

He may not be a 15 goal a season striker, but he'd certainly flirt with 10, and he'd allow our mids to score a lot more.

Lets hope he keeps this up, and we sign him permanently.

Any idea of the agreed fee? (what do FM say?)

What he lacks in quality he makes up with in enthusiasm. I think his enthusiasm would wane after a while though. I would give him a 1 year deal to keep him keen.
