That tournament damaged us immeasurably this season for a number of reasons.

We have neither the squad nor the mentality for a run in that competition and with the money we’re thrashing about , the europa league isn’t going to attract any higher standard of player.

Your post makes no sense. You say we don’t have the squad, but that we’re thrashing money about. If we are thrashing money about then having a large enough squad shouldn’t be a problem at all. Both Allardyce and Koeman said we had an over inflated squad.

The failings this season were nothing to do with the number of games.
