Pienaar was great

Thought he was good in glimpses last season so I retained some hope he had another year in him. But it's a very big wage off the books and hopefully opens the door for an exciting younger player (academy or new signing).

Was one hell of a player in his day though. Him, Arteta and Baines were pure sex.

Wish he would have got more of a chance last season, was fit from Christmas and the only time I seen him play he played well. Another one Martinez didn't get on with. We shouldn't have to rely on these players now with the kids and if we do have the money to spend.

Seriously though, one of my fave Everton players of recent times. Well first time round anyway.

In his pomp, one of the best I've seen at Everton.

No words can detail how fantastic Peanut was for us on his day. Baines' regression as a leftback has to come down to the exact point his legs fell off.

I wish him well, leaving for Spurs spoiled his legacy for me, but at his best he was a great player.
