Mate what are you basing this on do you know how many times he was in the Prem tem of the year, he has played in major international tournaments, and had some of the best players in the world in his pocket, if he passes a medical thats the only concern i would have. If it is true and i am beigining to think due to your reaction that your mates are windeing you up this is an excellent addition.

It seems like your judgement is based on Keggan letting him go on a free, never really the ost spend thrift or econmomical manager int he world. While i would hardly call Keegan the all knowing demi god of judgeing a good defender the names Hottiger and Albert spring to mind!

Carr is quality fact! Do have the same Neville fear though.
It isnt so much as based on his past, which isnt too shabby or even if he is was on a free, its what he can bring to squad, in terms of fighting for a position.

Sure it wont be easy for any player to prove his salt to the team, if he has to sit out all the time..but the point is we need every position challenged for all of the time, to make the players play at a high quality octane, knowing they will loose their place if they play [Poor language removed]..unless i am being naive about the way managers, manage the team these days.

Also we dont need a one year wonder, we need to build on quality and in depth, have people who are going to be here for years and win us things. Steven Carr is likely only gonna be here a year at most...we need young and vibrant players , no matter the cost..yes we need a bigger squad, but we need quality and longevity to that squad.

As for Neville, am not a keen fan of him at all, he tries, but his best..if you can call it that, is well behind him now. Yes we do need a quality permanent right back as we all know..and nev isnt the answer, and neither is carr, considering his age, and his the fact his past counts for nothing...what we need to do is look to the future..but hey that dm's job not mine or anyone else's. I also realise we are on a very low budget if other people are to be believed.

Jesus mate, feel better soon!(y) Nothing worse you go of your nut, did mine for six months two years ago. Luckily it coincided with the world cup, just about kept myself sane!

Fingers crossed for you mate!

I am the furthest form convinced that Carr would not be our starting R.B. hed bury Hibbert and Neville in terms of ability. I thought you were talking about Shevchenko for a little while! Gotta admit Carr is a lot cheaper. If true i think your in for a pleasent surprise.

we can all but hope we will get quality in that right back birth..I want to see baines play, that poor lad has barely hard a kick this year, and I think he happens to be quality.

I know hes on a free but whats his salary going to cost Id prefer it going to someone who has his best days ahead of him not behind him like Carr,Maybe Moyes thinks we need more experiance in the squad or hopefully its a wind up(n)

Deffo mate Baines has been unlucky. I was actualy surprised about how much quality he showed in his first few games for us, ill hold my hand up and say i underated him, always thought he was good but he has the ability to be international class.

Strangely he reminds me of a young Carr who can shoot!

Not sure the point of this really. We have Hibbo and Neville (plus Gosling?) at right back so we don't really need numbers there, we need quality. Not sure Carr is better than who we have there already.

I really hope Gosling gets a few games this coming season, it'll be great to see if he's coming along well.
