Walsh told The Athletic: "While I was at Everton, I offered them Andrew Robertson and Harry Maguire deals, when they were at Hull, and it was worth £20 million for the pair. Everton wouldn't take them."

And...

"Erling Haaland, the striker with Salzburg, I had him and his dad at the club with a deal done for €4million. The club wouldn’t back me.”

Nice one Steve.

argh there is already a completely piss poor titled Steve Walsh thread (n)

It's all well and good saying what signings he could have made but we can only judge him on the deals he did make. If true then it shows there was still massive influence upstairs whilst he was at the club that hindered us somewhat.

Saying that, Moyes claimed he nearly signed a world class team if it wasn't for the club not backing him.

Wonder how many crap players the club didn't back Walsh in signing? He won't tell you that part will he?
