I was listening to a Liverpool Echo video. The reporters were talking about this guy when one of the said something like “he attends every single Everton game, if he is supposed to be identifying future players, and not the ones he’s already bought, why isn’t he at games other than Everton”...........
What the f....
The best DoF in the world (Monchi) attends every game of SEVILLA, ROMA... nonsense shout

You can't even, objectively, look at what he has done as anything other than a failure if using just any metric.

IF his job is to help with player recruitement, he's failed miserably.

IF his job is to identify players and let others bring them in, he STILL has failed miserably.

IF his job is long term vision of the club, he's failed miserably.

IF his job is essentially a scout, he's failed miserably.

IF his job is to replace managers, he's failed miserably.

It's just inconceivable that he still is employed.

And I bet if he never attended any of our games people would say he's disloyal and no care to Everton. Easy to form an opinion when a vendetta is created. Every single game in football doesn't go on at the exact same time as ours. Also helps him identify what we need, by watching the mess unravel in front of his eyes.

If any of us were that bad at our jobs, we wouldn't have one.

Quite right. There is very little evidence that what he is doing is worth having him do it. If anything , lookman/ sandro/vlasic who look like his signings are the ones being scapegoated and dropped for no reason.

So if not even his players are making the team then he really has failed so far

You're right - it's very easy to form an opinion of the inept, clueless, hopelessly under-performing overpaid Director of Football.
As for watching the mess unravel in front of his eyes, I would suggest that he should be more than familiar with this, as he created it.
Get rid.

£320m spent post Moyes on new players and we can't even field a decent team with a fully fit squad.

Enough for 15 x £20m players. More than any team in Germany has spent.

Shameful from 2 managers, 1 DOF and the board who appointed them.
Hell, it's debatable but we could have BOUGHT the second best team in Germany for that much.
