Regardless of Rom’s goals, teams knew they had to deal with his presence and were kept busy...

None of this crap about ‘remove his goals and we would have finished 7th’.

Without knowing all the facts hard to say he deserves to go he might of identified a dozen targets but over ruled by koeman or deals fell through at boardroom level .it's a very clouded situation.

I can safely say Sandro is no way suitable for this league, Klaassen definitely not, and Sigurdsson about 20 million overpriced. So that's 50 million wasted. Plus Rooney's 8 million wages,58 million plus about another 12 million for the other three mentioned players' wages this year.. 70 million and for what? That's not even mentioning Martina's wages, money wasted on keeping the likes of Besic/McCarthy who offer nothing and play in positions we're more than well-stocked in.. the inability to get rid of one of Stek or Robles.. not getting a striker in, or a centre back, or a backup for Baines or proper cover for Coleman, or signing a decent winger. Yes, Walsh has done a terrific job.
