If we can get him at 4mill would be a bargain. Certainly fits the defensive mid qualities we're looking for... I hope he'll be our first signing this season.

he seems to tick all the boxes. over 6 foot, defensive midfield or right back.

as was mentioned, i can see moyes chewing his pencil right now over whether the african nations is a big enough stumble block to sign him.

5 african players if we sign him would represent half the team going for 2 months every 2 years.

I agree, the african nations is a big worry. I thought signing Pienaar was overloading us slightly but if we were to lose a key defensive midfeilder we would realy struggle. I don't think we would have finished 5th if Carsley had gone to the African Nations aswell!! :D:D:D

I was surprised that we didn't go in for Yakubu when he went from Pompy to Boro as Yobo was the Nigeria captain. At that point in time I thought Moyes didn't go in for him purely because he didn't want to lose him for a couple of months - it wasn't as though we didn't have the cash because he signed Beattie at a similar time. Clearly Moyes has had a change in heart or due to the tight purse strings he has had no choice.

This one fits the bill. I can remotely believe this may happen because it just won't go away. 4 million sounds fine if he can do the job. 22 great age and height is excellent.(y)

Think this one really is a go'er. Was told by a friend in work that the deal is already done. Just needs a medical an sort out terms.

He knows his [Poor language removed] normaly, hope it's true. Far to many false dawns so far this summer.

Please lets open the flood gates........

I heard on NSNO that there's a medical tommorow. Good news if true.

Really Sharpy? How would he know? Does he have connections? I'm interested in this guy too, Could be the new Vieria or Nyarko. Depends what you want from your African midfielders.

Mind you I was there when Nyarko scored a backheel from outside the box in a friendly against Man City.

Every African player Moyes has bought has turned out well. So he's good a good record there, Hopefully this one turns out good aswell. He seems to fit the bill of what we are looking for and at 22 has alot of time to develop and improve.

No mate dont think he has any connections. Just one of them, he heard from a mate who knows someone. But he's pretty spot on when he tells me stuff.

Just hope it's true.

Plus.......smith bought Nyarko. says it all really!! i was their for that goal to. thought he was going to be the dogs!!

But hang on, I think we need to run this through the Calfilter. Hmm, 4m? That's around £13m short of what we need to be spending.

tee hee.

:)

According to my mate, who follow french football, he is a really good buy if we get him. Marseille and Lyon has both looked at this guy, and they are the 2 big clubs in french football by the moment.
