Player Valuation: £60m
At the start of the transfer window David Moyes clearly said that he wanted to bring about three players in on loan.We brought no one in...but three players left. This has been hugely disappointing for ll of us and now the stories about lack of funds, unhappy manager, unhappy players, administration threats are going to circulate and probably get more crazy as time goes on.

The manager and the club should now issue a statement explaining what has happened and why.I realise they may not be able to give the names of many of their intended targets, but I do think a comprehensive statement should be issued explaining the clubs activities in the window.

How severe was our cash situation ?,How close were we to bringing players ? The manager should explain his situation, did he feel that there was no value in the market ? or was the club not in a position to meet players demands.

I hope the club realises the disillusionment and disappointment amongst fans.Gates receipts and season ticket renewals will be affected unless fans receive a statement regarding the clubs situation.

My personal opinon is that the sale of the club or the introduction of an investor may be closer now than ever and that the purse strings are being held tightly closed with little or no expenditure until the change occurs....I am nothing if not an optimist.

Pretty much highlighted this situation myself yesterday mate: http://www.grandoldteam.com/forum/threads/33570-Here-s-what-gets-to-me-about-the-situation

There has to be a statement. It's a boil that needs to be lanced.

Not only should there be an explanation about what's gone wrong, but an explanation of how they're going to make things right - a plan of action.

We're drifting as an organisation and lots of people want answers to some very simple but fundamental questions.

Personally I think the CEO should resign. He'd be pressured to do so in any other underperforming listless company.

Moyes bemoans 'poor' Everton transfer situation
guardian.co.uk/football/2008/jul/31/everton.moyes

Moyes told the club's television station: "We cannot hide the fact that we need new players at Everton. Everybody knows it, I know it, the players know it - we have to get five or six players in before the season starts. We are in a poor, poor situation regarding going forward."

It's nothing new.

Moyes says we need players. Moyes says he expects to bring players in and the inevitable moan follows that we didn't.

When he is asked whether anyone is coming in he should be saying "Ask the board". He, like the fans, need to make it as painful as possible for the board.

Not to be all optimistic, but we did bring in some young talent and that's not to be scoffed at. Here's to the future...

We do need clarity from the Chairman, Diredtors and the Manager. Like Dave, I doubt if anything will be forthcoming. BK as demonstrated in the last AGM has gone out of his way to ensure there will be little communication, to me it does nothing but show his contempt for the fans.

It is not investment we need but a change of heirachy to be able to move forward.

true dat. It would be a bit of a coup if we do sign eric drier permanently, quite a bit of hype about that kid. Fingers crossed the greek lad has more about him than some of the other young foreign strikers we've signed recently.

The only way to get a statement about any thing from the board is to boycott a game hit them where it hurts, but calls for protests last week were laughed and joked at on this very forum, seems to me if you are not one of the main know alls or Mr fn smart arse in this forum you sit and wait alone time before they say anything constructive for or against your post. Not sure why i bother saying this but i just feel some times some body has to say how they feel, and just now it,s hard to feel any thing for this forum and indeed this club.:( PLAY BILY

i work for one of the biggest insurers in the world, yesterday we had three cross conutry tele-conferences, just because our service levels were slightly under target, you would think a huge company like Everton FC would have this sort of thing on their mind too, maybe they do...or maybe there all sitting there with the thumbs up the ar**s wondering what the hell to do, ....and i thought my company was disorganized haha
