It's when you get to our strongest bench that you look at having one of the most talented squads in our recent history is a thinly veiled myth.

Our starting XI isn't too shabby but we have no real strength in depth. There certainly isn't much attacking threat there to mix up a game.

Koné needs shipping off and replacing with an actual threat. Lennon is solid squad option yet still not someone who will instantly threaten.

The questions about McCarthy are there for everyone to see although while I've not written him off yet, I'd like more strength and options here.

More than happy with the centre back option, but Oviedo is questionable. Holgate (with other youth players) is still a relative unknown for his age.

If we sign Bolasie and Koné MKII then we'll have more option for the starting XI and a marginally stronger bench but still not great.
