As a Trekkie (Original Series), I thought the Star Trek film by Abrams was fantastic and I can't wait for the new Star Trek film which I believe comes out in May.

I loved Star Wars too so I can't wait for that either.

sod VII, they should be made to remake I - III (and by remake I mean come up with a story that isnt crap)

Going by his form, he'll probably do that & re-boot it! Why bother writing a new & original idea when you can use time travel to change everything eh?

So, standby for copious amounts of lens flares, plot holes, dubious storyline & possibly Luke not being Darths little sprog!

I think we will all be disappointed by this.

I'm lowering my expectations in preparation for it.
I agree, I can't see them making a movie that's Star Wars at heart, it'll be a mainstream movie that uses plots that sell well.

I'm actually busy with Knights of the Old Republic 2 (PC game) at the moment :D

Not sure tbh, i'm less concerned about the director and more worried about it being Disney led. They'll want a definite limit on the amount of violence and the themes not being too serious.

Does this HAVE to be the case though? I know it's Disney, but maybe it's not going to be marketed as another disney kids film, and they've just bought it for the money. Hopefully they can make a proper film out of it. Will it automatically be a PG does anyone know?

Thought the new Star Trek film was ace. I'd normally be buzzing for the new Star Wars films (I'm a fan of episodes 1 -3 too), but the fact Disney have the rights is going to put a lot of people off. Like I said in my last post, hopefully it's just a case of them owning the rights to it, and not putting the Disney stamp on it at all. JJ abrams is a good director

Why are a lot of people put off by Disney? I'm just happy George has little or nothing to do with it.

I reckon if there was more violence in real life people would be less inclined to violence in movies.

Not sure what my point is here.
