I didn't say the LCC had lied. I suggested that whatever body the planning inspector is directly responsible to had lied.
I'll admit I'm a bit confused by vague definition of the various bodies involved.
The planning inspector is a presumably a council employee, whereas the planning committee is made up of elected councillors and advised by council employees?
Anyway the fact remains the plan was rejected initially for one set of reasons

which it was later admitted were spurious :

and a completely new set of reasons were given :

Robin, the Inspector is independent - you'd hardly expect an appeal to be heard by an LCC employee would you? She reached her conclusion which was to accept part of the original objection by LCC. How you can say that LCC's original point on loss of open space isn't in the judgement of the Inspector concerning loss of green space I'm not quite sure. How many green spaces do you think we are talking about in this?!

The objection was cosistent; the inspector found in the objector's favour. End of story.

As for you not saying LCC were lying: you stating LCC were practically saying "ok we lied the first time", sort of confirms you were saying they were lying. (y)

Everton’s £10m homes plan blow - Liverpool Daily Post.co.uk

Typical hare brained response from the club. It's so embarrassing the reaction that none of them would put their name to it: a club 'spokesman'...

...come on Rossy, we all know it was you!

What do you expect them to say? "Sorry Mr council we will just accept that your f*cking corrupt and this decision was based purely on political issues rather than the benefit of the area"
Take your anti club head off for a day lad

I find nothing to laugh about form the below quote mate! Death by thunderous applause!

"The loss, between £8m and £10m, will not impact on the proposed move, as the club will now find the cash elsewhere"

No doubht the same people slating the club over this and laughing, will be the same ones having a coronery in the summer when we try and sign Alan Smith on loan.

Hey but keep laughing and knocking! Your getting somewhere!

It was the Inspector's decision...you know, the one who works for the same agency that's sitting in judgement of Destination Kirkby up the road. I fancy a little message is being sent out to the club here. (y)

that £8-£10m is coming outof our transfer kitty.
The club's board of directors and chairman Bill Kenwright are understood to be furious about the decision.

Get in our thread BK an let it all out

Are you implying that team funding is affected by this proposed move? That's an outrageous slur on both Keith Wyness and Robert Elstone.

Where do you think the extra 10m we now need will come from? I hope your happy, they will be dancing in keyock homes now. Another plus for keyock, yay we have cost the club another 10m! Makes you proud of these humble blues!

But the CEO(s) of the club believe this not to be the case. Are you suggesting we disregard their words, or even cast doubt on them? (y)
