Driving home past Goodison before and tonnes of police presence, as well as fire engines because a library has been set ablaze and people are kicking off on county road

Utterly embarrassing and unnerving to see

Something needs to be done. Start locking these hatred fuelled thickos up.
Scary the numbers out doing it though, I can’t believe we share an island with these thickos!

Know that tomorrow, a week on, will likely be a difficult day in Southport.

Sendiing support and hugs to those affected and in the community x

RIP Elsie, Alice and Bebe

What’s sad is that the news is now dominated by yobs burning cities and towns, but then again maybe it allows the families of the recovering kids to do so out of the media spotlight. It will of course be incredibly emotional for the whole area when the funerals take place, R.I.P little ones…….

I've never been the best with words. But there are crimes that hit harder, and Taylor Swifts words are apt washing over me continuously. You can feel that here in Southport and across Liverpool.

And even though the news has been dominated by the riots, I like most locals have tried to stay focused on the memories of the little girls taken from their loved ones.

And even though the tributes may have lost in the news cycles compared to other crimes it doesn't make it less important. And we regardless of anyone watching will continue to highlight that this isn't about race this is about a class of girls dancing to Taylor Swift who were attacked and unfortunately even with the brave actions of many, three girls didn't make it home.

This shows the issues that since social media, we as a society are happy for blurred lines with the truth. And even though I feel we can't fully change that. A legacy should be stronger laws to limit the spread of misinformation. As even in this case misinformation in most probability caused the attack in the first place.

My heart goes out the families affected. RIP Elsie, Alice and Bebe.

I'm on holiday in Iceland. I've got the BBC on so I'm seeing the coverage.

As someone who finally got the chance to go to Liverpool last year, and loved it, and was made to feel so welcome by everyone I met, I just wanted to say how sad this all makes me and that I hope your city comes out of this in a better place.

Nothing will ever make up for the loss of these girls or for the damage that these evil people have done to your community, but what I'm (hopefully)(starting to) see in the States is that this ugliness has bubbled at the surface for decades, and when it gets full expression in terrible incidents like this, the community has a chance to say NO and turn away from it. Hoping for more of the same, for you, for us, everywhere.

News this morning said there's only one kid left in hospital still needing immediate care, all of the rest have been released home.
Really? I've not heard that yet. Fingers crossed!!

My partner knows a few families that had kids there when it happened. Some are dreadfully traumatised.

Although, some of the parents that arrived to collect children as it was happening are even more so. Some of the parents I've heard are not coping very well at all.

I hope there is the after care in place to help these people.
