So far mate iv had it was only a pocket knife and how getting arrested with a knife is a everyday occurrence , would the same thing be getting said if it was one of the rioters down the road ?
I think it's just best to not jump to conclusions yet, and as posted above it certainly didn't kick anything off as there was already a planned protest happening.

Flick knife arrested yes, machete arrested yes.

But you said it was one of the above? Do the people get arrested leaving b and q?

Where did I say the rioters should get arrested?
if you bounce out of b and q with a knife in your hand towards people two right your getting arrested, so if one of them rioters was waving a pocket knife around you wouldn’t want him arrested ? Course you would anyone would

Any knife (of any size) is deemed an offensive weapon if it used in a way that is deemed to be intimidating or threatening. If he's took it out, it's likely a crime.

The law allows people to carry a blade of 3" or less, including a folding knife, but again the caveat is the above and flick/lock knives are exempt.

You get the question of, "Well how can a chef move their knives around?" The law's simple - it has to be hidden and there has to be good cause to possess it.

It's no different to having a golf club under your seat in the middle of the night compared to having your golf clubs in the boot in the golf bag.
