After the murders in Plymouth, the local paper there put out a statement saying that any calls or home visits to the families of the bereaved and injured would not be from them and that they’d only speak to people who wanted to reach out to them.

The contrast with the Echo and the national media is stark.

The Milly Dowler case should have been the straw that broke this donkeys back, the authorities have continued to pander to corporate media and its owner(s). It is difficult to quantify the scale of harm that particular individual is responsible for.

Just found out the poor 9 year old girl lived across the road from my Mum - needless to say she is devastated.
Such a small town the ripples of this terrible event are reaching everywhere.

Just had a look and 10,000 people have raised £160k in a day. A heartwarming gesture of everyday human kindness and empathy that is much needed amongst this grim story.

Just read about this, he heard a woman screaming and ran in to face the attacker!

What a guy, if it wasnt for him it could of been a lot worse than whats already an appalling situation.
