Of course. But it's current UK provision is also wholly inadequate.
Oh I don't disagree at all.

Its a tough one as not everyone shows signs with it being a very internal subject. It's getting taken more seriously recently which is good but there is still a long way to go.

The Times running the report on it is kind of off though as I think the media is majorly complicit in the rise of MH problems.

Little girls attending the most innocent and child-like of activities in the summer holidays attacked and murdered by some freak of nature.

There’s no punishment that fits such a horrific crime but I hope that the evil filth responsible is brutally beaten to death in a relatively short time frame.

17 year old kid? What!

channel 4 news has just said 17 year old male in custody.
Let it live out its life in a dark room without food and water

I don’t care what race or so called believes this thing as. It’s taken the lives of two little kids as a parent my heart goes out to them parents who are just trying to keep their children’s happy and make memories.

The rest of the kids who witnessed it will be filled with trauma and fear and I hate this [Poor language removed] for what he’s done

From a parents point of view I am angry and sad after this today.

He probably will be but 17 years old, basically a kid himself, what on earth has gone on there?

I don't want to get too off topic, especially in this thread, but it's incredibly tough on front line services and clearly, someone going through a MH crisis will be met with many possible agencies and many differing outcomes.

Which is the reason for the push towards Right Care Right Person https://www.met.police.uk/notices/met/introduction-right-care-right-person-model/

For inpatient and community services, it's even more strained, which is the emphasis of the Times article. The wraparound provision is lacking.

It has been the darkest day for Southport, but I want to say that the response of the adults who fought the attacker, the members of the public who provided first aid until the emergency services arrived. And all the emergency services was first class and heroic.

Not only have we seen the worst of humanity we have seen the best too.

Any number of TV cop series or film from the 60s or 70s clearly show that the perception was the same then.

The 'kids/people these days' way of dismissing fundamental issues within society is exactly one of the tools used to dodge blame by those who have took the rewards of power while consistently absolving themselves of the requirement to properly fund and run the legal system, health system, education system and policing.

I think you've misunderstood that highlighted part. Or maybe i should have eloborated more. Im talking all ages. Not an age range. I work in an industry that people who are in their 50s act just as entitled as someone in their 20s.
