Agree with numbers relating to a position (since 1933 and we were first) but we've also had 8 as a striker (Sharp, Lineker) and 10 as a centre mid (Bracewell, Arteta).

As long as we have none of the Kone wearing 2 or Anderton wearing 9 nonsense I'm happy.

Oh right ok, didn't think the squad numbers had been announced yet - I'd be surprised if Schneids kept 2 though.

Always prefer 4 to be midfield and 6 the other centre back alongside number 5 ......I know , I'm fussy :-)

up for grabs I guess there will be a few of the new boys after them numbers, I am a bit surprised that they wont print Davies numbers though, I cant see him getting a new one.

Davies may want 4 if Morgan nor Keane take it
