His post game press conference after losing to Seville was the best thing he did at United when he told fans of his own club their European pedigree is crap and loses like this are “nothing new” for United....further sticking the boot in by mentioning that two of those loses was to him (Porto and Real) just showed his contempt for the club.

Winning 2 trophies is overplayed. He inherited a poor side (and a very slow one) but he managed to make it worse by bringing in Fred, Mkhitaryan, Matic, Pogba and Sanchez for a fortune and persisted with the yard dog Fellaini. The football was atrocious. Solskjaer is a terrible manager but he had been left with an almighty clean up job.

Mou has gone in and instantly become the second highest paid-manager in the league, 5m more than Pochettino was on and 3m less than Guardiola. Given that he's signed a 3-year deal, they've made a 45m gamble on him bringing them success, and that's not including the hundreds of millions they'll probably end up spending under his stewardship. I think he'll do a fine job in all honesty, likely taking them back to the heights they were at two years ago, possibly contending for a domestic cup, but no more.

We are still paying Martinez, Koeman, Alladyce huge sums no doubt.

And Walsh.

Probably comes to a cool 200/300k a week for another year or two. Best contract negotiators ever, Everton!

Just goes to show, those pathetic gambles didn't pay off at all, and we'd have been much better throwing 200/300k a week at an actual good manager.

What’s the old saying?

“One swallow doesn’t make a summer”

He lifts pots wherever he goes. He joined United with them truly struggling, he got them 2nd, a couple of pots and left United as a team in the CL.

I’m not saying he did a great job there, but I don’t think you can say he did a bad one either. All managers, even the very best ones, get sacked at some point. It doesn’t mean they aren’t excellent managers.

And, in any conversation about the all-time best managers, Mourinho would certainly be a part of the discussion for most people.

99.9% of blues would have loved him here.

Here we go again...

99.9%....really?

Come on really?

This is just a bizarre ranting post...

Literally no polls show this number and there certainly doesnt appear to be 99.9% of posters wanting him.

Albeit thats not 99.9% of 'blues' but gives an interesting barometer.

"Everyone said" or "Everyone wants"

Its just nonsense isnt it?

Porto, Real Madrid, Chelsea and Inter Milan have all either gone onto winning numerous more honours, or continued to be a force after Mourinho had left. The exception being United but they were on a slippery slope before he even set foot through the door..... so I wouldn’t say those clubs have been destroyed.

Winning isn’t everything in football hey? 99.9% of our fan base would instantly disagree with that; We are desperate to win something, anything.

99.9% of our fans would totally disagree

See, anyone can type peculiar numbers...

So its not about winning eh Zat.

Righty oh mate.

I can picture Kenwright smirking now, sipping on his 2 decade long cup of contentment.

Im not sure 99% of the fanbase is 'all about' winning.

For example there are several posters who would prefer we lost games so Silva gets fired and consider relegation a good idea to rebuild.

There are others who want to see the team play attractive football...and all sorts of other opinions.

Whatever poll you can imagine i doubt it would ever be 99% in favour on one side.

Do you have to be that Pedantic ?

The vast majority of Evertonians want to win a pot, anything to be honest. We've been ' building for the future ' for decades and we find ourselves being a laughing stock currently if we are being totally honest.

I think if there was a poll asking Evertonians what they would prefer, winning a pot would be above 90% i am sure. Something like this i'd imagine.

1. Winning a pot 92%
2. Playing attractive footy 2%
3. Not even arsed mate, i'm eating cheese on toast 6%

Playing attractive footy over winning silverware? Ok mate.
