So you'd take mourinho destroying us for a League cup win?

No thanks

Let’s see.....

When he left Chelsea the 1st time, they missed out on the league title by 2 points, got to the Champions League final and the League Cup final.

When he left Chelsea the 2nd time, they won the League the year after he left

Madrid won the Copa Del Rey and the European cup the year after he left.

Inter won the Coppa Italia and narrowly missed out on Serie A after he left.

Sounds like the sort of “mess” I wouldn’t mind Everton being left in to be honest.

How are United getting on?

He utterly destroyed the Madrid dressing room. He almost ripped the most dominant national side in recent history to bits with his antics.

He bullied a female physio and again ripped the Chelsea dressing room apart and it took millions for Conte to rectify it.

He left inter with one of the highest and oldest wage bills in the world and they haven't recovered to this day!

He is toxic. Bayern are desperate for a manager but haven't even looked at him.

This'll be the job that finishes Mourinho off in club football for me.

Portugal beckons.

The fans can have whatever expectations they want. That squad was, overall, pretty mediocre, and he’s done better than most with those players
He bought Fred for an outrageous amount of money

Fred.

He also sold Lukaku for 27 million pounds at Chelsea and bought him again for over 80.

He's as culpable as anyone for United's squad being "pretty mediocre"

Today’s winner

Wow. Lot’s of feelings and very few facts there. You obviously disagree that he’s a top manager, don’t think you’d find many blues who wouldn’t have him here in a heartbeat though.

Also, for what it’s worth, he didn’t bully anyone and was cleared of any wrongdoing. She alleged he called her a name, evidence proved otherwise, she got upset and quit - the club gave her a fat cheque to go away and she hasn’t worked in Football in the 4 years since.

Letting KDB go was inspired as well.

Some of the business he did at United is jaw-droppingly bad.

They're still paying £300k of Sanchez' £400k salary while he's on loan at Inter. Still on the books. Incredible.

I don't doubt he was a top manager. He isn't now though. That died the day he was sacked by the biggest and most glamorous club in the world for turning them into an ale House side whose only interest was to butcher Lionel Messi.

His ego has never recovered from that failure and has made him bitter and twisted. He couldn't control or cope with the fact the Madrid players were bigger and more powerful than him. Since then he attacks anyone who he fears... Usually the best player and the homegrown hero.

And we all know how it ends....

They had just won the fa cup when he arrived.

And finished 5th....

He took over a team in the Europa League and won 3 pieces of silverware in his 1st season AND got them back in the CL.

Season after, he finished runner up in the league and narrowly lost the FA Cup final.

3rd season, United sacked him with the club in the Champions League and sat in 6th - which is where they finished - and higher than where they currently sit now.

Yeah, it was a real close run thing that title race. United fans look back on that great campaign with real fondness I'm told.

Yes he won 2 cups. Have you seen who he played??? If he couldn't win them with its then he would have been a laughing stock!..

If my memory serves my right... Our sweet prince almost put him out in the semi's then the officials gifted them the final... Which they almost lost.

And the Europa League? Ha Celts Vigo missed a sitter in the SF in the last second to put them out!
